These Are a Few of My Favorite Things: TMI Edition
Ok, so I know nobody asked me about these random facts, but if you love me, you’ll read them anyway! You never know, you may need one of these someday.
1. Savage X Fenty underwear. I don’t need to say much more than that, simply because I love the quality of her bras. I feel like a million bucks when I wear them; sexy and sassy. The panties and lingerie are also a win, but I tend to favor practicality. Her bras may not be for every day use but, surely, I use them for every day.
2. Menstrual cups! I will shout it from the rooftops a hundred times over. It feels so good to not have to jam a toxic cotton wad up in your Pikachu every 3 hours of the day. Set it and forget it! At least for the next 6ish hours.
3. Speaking of Pikachu, keep babygirl feeling fresh and healthy with probiotics. I typically try to put my texture issues to the side and eat an occasional cup of yogurt (meh!), but I always take my Pearl probiotics for vaginal and digestive health. Not going to lie; they’ve gotten me out of some questionable times when my pH was figuring its life out.
4. Taking a hard left with my favorite lipstick and mascara. I swear by Thrive Cosmetics’ mascara because it adds fiber to my lashed that give me length and volume off the dang Richter scale! On that note, if you get pieces of it in your eyeball, you’re a goner. When I pair this with my favorite lippie, Mac’s Ruby Woo matte, I feel my sexiest. Ruby Woo is one of the 3 lipsticks that don’t make me look like I belong in somebody’s burn unit. That is my idea of putting on makeup. I’m a simple girl.
5. My skincare regimen is no different. I alternate between a Korean rice water face wash and toner (Rice Water Bright Cleanser with Rice Bran and Rice & Ceramide Moisturizing Facial Toner) from Amazon, and Ella Bella Collection organic, handmade soaps that I first experienced at the Miami-Dade Fair and Exposition. Love. Also, genetics. I can’t recommend anything for that except Wilbert and Gloria.
6. My hangovers happen all too often, even when I haven’t been drinking the night before. But for those days when I had been and my 30-something body is annoyed about it, I use Dramamine and Excedrin Migraine to get me through. My emitophobia actually encourages me to take the Dramamine more frequently than I’d like to admit, and my coffee addiction is no better with the Excedrin. But when their powers combine, they become Captain Remedy.
You’re welcome.
